Accredited Service and Repairers

Service & Repairs Accreditation Program

The Service & Repairs Accreditation Program (SRAP) is an industry-specific scheme for the caravanning and camping industry, designed to improve business operating standards within the caravan, camper and motorhome service and repair industry.

To become accredited, service and repair businesses agree to comply with a set of standards, including legal compliance, risk management, human resource management, business improvement and a workshop equipped to an agreed standard. Accredited businesses display the ‘accreditation key’ to show they are SRAP accredited.

Service and repair businesses wishing to know more about accreditation can contact us on 03 9815 2015 or [email protected]

Are You RV Gas Ready?

Gas legislation in each state and territory jurisdiction requires recreational vehicle installations to comply with the following Australian Standard:

AS/NZS 5601.2:2020 Gas Installations, Part 2: LP Gas installations in caravans and boats for non-propulsive purposes.

Gas equipment on a recreational vehicle is considered to be an “installation” when it includes any mounted appliances and/or piping of gas from the LP gas cylinder throughout the vehicle.  Any appliances connected to a gas bayonet are also considered to be part of the installation (and so are subject to the requirement of the standard).

RV Electrical Ready

Electrical legislation in each state and territory jurisdiction requires recreational vehicle installations to comply with the following Australian Standards:

The foundational standards for your Recreational Vehicle electrical installation are:

  • AS/NZS 3000:2018 Electrical installations
(known as the Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules)
  • Plus, the extra requirements and variations prescribed in
AS/NZS 3001 series (2022) Electrical Installations – Connectable electrical installations and supply arrangements.

Electrical installation work (and the associated verification and testing) on Recreational Vehicles must be completed in line with these standards by a “competent person”, as defined by each local state and territory jurisdiction.
